Clyde Workboats Ltd Rental Agreement

This Rental Agreement outlines the key terms under which Clyde Workboats Ltd (“the Company”) provides vessel rentals to clients (“the Client”). It supplements our Terms & Conditions and serves as a summary of responsibilities, expectations, and operational details. By proceeding with a booking, the Client confirms their acceptance of this agreement.

2. Rental Period

All bookings are for full days only (min 10 hours per day) and are subject to availability.
Start and end times are agreed in advance during booking confirmation.

3. Rental Details

Vessels are allocated based on operational requirements and client needs. Additional equipment or support personnel (e.g. deckhands) can be arranged upon request and may incur additional charges.

4. Payment Details

  • For rentals up to 3 days, a 25% deposit is required at the time of booking.
  • For rentals longer than 3 days, a 50% deposit is required.
  • The remaining balance must be paid in prior to the hire date unless otherwise agreed.

5. Terms of Use

  • The vessel must be used for its intended purpose only and operated in a safe and legal manner.
  • The Client must comply with all maritime laws and safety regulations.
  • The vessel shall not be used under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

6. Safety Regulations

All passengers must wear life jackets, and safety instructions provided by the Company must be followed.

7. Insurance & Liability

  • The Company provides basic liability insurance; however, the Client is responsible for any damage or loss beyond the coverage.
  • The Client shall indemnify the Company against any claims, losses, or damages arising from the rental period.

8. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days in advance will be refunded in full.
  • Cancellations within 14 days will result in the forfeiture of the deposit.
  • No refunds for cancellations within 48 hours of the rental start date.

9. Weather Conditions

In case of adverse weather, the Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the rental. Cancellations due to weather will be rescheduled at no extra cost, but are not eligible for refund.

10. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Scotland, and any disputes shall be resolved within the jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

11. Acknowledgment

By submitting a booking through our website or email, the Client acknowledges they have read and understood this Rental Agreement and agree to its terms in full.
